The Making of Hope Rises

Get a behind the scenes look into the making of my painting Hope Rises. This 60 x 60 inches acrylic on canvas was commissioned by Soul City Church in Chicago and started as a live in-person art performance. This work embodies the ideas and values of House of Hope. A new Soul City initiative. The House of Hope meets needs through resources and addresses issues of justice and mental health. The House of Hope is a visible movement of the church to hold space for the hurting, to act justly and live compassionately. Values: Humility, Integrity, Dignity.
